Photosbypepper, If lack of basic photography skills that you show means 'new European trends', then I'm happy that we all here 'conservative, [have] less open mindes and [are] not educated'. Yes, photography doesn't have to be pretty. But it should have 'something' making it valuable in some way. Let's look at Gurnicki's photos (e.g. this one: https://www.maxmodels.pl/fotograf-gurnicki/akt-zdjecie-5814598.html). This is an example of a real 'turpism' or, maybe 'non-glamour realism'. However, it shows a great sense of artistry and skills, for instance operating with light, which you don't have at all.

W rzeczy samej, My Polacy - ciemny lud, jesteśmy zdziadziałymi, zamkniętymi na "zachodnie" trendy kapciuchami. Dusimy się w własnym sosie i nie wychodzimy poza ramy własnego gara...;-) Zabawny komentarz.. Doprawdy...;-)

Dyskusja nie ma sensu, brakuje Ci warsztatu*, nie ma o czym mówić, widać błędy zupełnie podstawowe, choćby w kadrowaniu... Ja rozumiem inne podejście do fotografii, nawet trend lomo w pewnym sensie rozumiem, ale i tam zachować powinno się pewne standardy, by odbiór był właściwy... Wydaje Ci się, że jesteś artystą, ktorego nikt nie rozumie... Odbieram Twoją twórczość po tym co tu przedstawiłeś, a to nie sądze by gdzieś na swiecie zostało odebrane poważnie...

Since I live in Warsaw, I see, that Polish photographers are in their majority quite different from photographers in Germany, France, England, the USA etc. (Nude) Photography in Poland is much more traditionel, focussing more on classical aesthetics or mainstream glamour then new artistic visions. This is very interesting. While my photos get bought from art collectors in western Europe, get published in books and exhibited in exhibitions, in Poland there is mainly criticism about them. That is fascinating indeed. I wonder why Polish photographers tend to be this conservative, less open mindes, not educated about what is going on in the international photo world. Maybe it is, that there is not very much photography from other countries to see in Poland. Most galleries in Poland show Poles, the same with the museums. And there are almost no art and photo magazines (Szum and doc! photo magazine belong to the very few existing ones), but they also mainly present Polish artists and photographers. So I guess there is simply a big lack of knowledge.

I do not intend to do nice and beautiful pictures nor do I want to make traditional or glamour photos. My approach is to make portraits , also in nude, that show something of the women I photographe. And obviously my models like how I photographe them, because with most of them I cooperate for years already. A good photo can be ugly in the eyes of some viewers, but it does not change the fact, that a good photo stays to be a good photo.
